Marta Katz is the Founder and Executive Director of El Paso Ballet Theatre. Ms. Katz began her training in her native Mexico under Maestro Jorge Cano. She began her professional career in the Compania Nacional de Danza in Mexico City where she danced in ballet and opera productions. Ms. Katz holds a degree in Ballet Performance from The University of Texas at El Paso where she taught in the Gifted and Talented Program under Ingeborg Heuser. She has also taught ballet in EPCC, EPISD, private ballet studios in Mexico and the U.S., in addition to directing the first school programs for Kids Excel El Paso.

Lesley Lopez began ballet training in her native El Paso at the age of six, studying under Andrée Harper and later Ingeborg Heuser. In 2008, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School granted her a full scholarship for their year-round High School Program, which enabled her to perform and tour with the PBT Company. Lesley is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre- Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. Lesley is currently the principal dancer in The Company.
