The Company

Where the learned skills, discipline, and dedication, become art through performance. El Paso Ballet Theatre, the company, formerly (known as)? El Paso Youth Ballet was founded in 2009 by Director Marta Katz. Since its inception, EPBT has gained wide recognition for countless and varied public performances. EPBT has brought to the stage ballets from the classical repertoire as well as original choreography and contemporary works.

Dancers interested in joining the company are welcome to contact us through the link below for an opportunity to audition. Those auditioning for apprentices must be at least 13 years, and have at minimum of 5 years ballet technique and be on pointe. 


The Company is to help aspiring young dancers refine their technical and artistic skills, develop positive personal values and life skills, and gain valuable stage experience. Members of the company will have opportunities to perform in pre-professional productions staged by experienced trainers and choreographers. Through its productions and outreach efforts, the company will help promote ballet as an art form, contribute to the cultural life of El Paso, and enrich the lives of our fellow citizens.


Company Audition

El Paso Ballet Theatre will be holding an audition seeking male and female dancers with a strong technical foundation in classical and contemporary dance, who are over the age of 13, and have at least 5 years of serious training. Trainee positions are also available. Some lead roles will be compensated as well as provided with pointe shoes.

The audition schedule is as follows:
Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021
10:00am Ballet Class
12:00pm Repertoire
Attire must be as follows: Female dancers- black leotard, pink tights, pointe shoes, & hair in a bun. Male dancers- black tights, white shirt, black or white ballet shoes. Please arrive 15 minutes before the audition to register.
