THE MISSION

El Paso Ballet Theatre SCHOOL is committed to providing technical and artistic training of the highest quality in the art of classical ballet and other dance forms. Very young students will develop self-discipline and confidence as they gain mastery over their movements and discover the joy of self-expression. Aspiring dancers and professional artists will continually refine their technique, expand their artistic skills, and gain valuable performance experience.

THE SHORT STORY. THE INCREDIBLE RESULTS.

In January 2009, Artistic Director Marta Katz formed El Paso Youth Ballet, a pre-professional company which, since its debut in February 2009, has gained recognition and praise for its public performances. The mission of El Paso Ballet Theatre is to help aspiring young dancers refine their technical and artistic skills, develop positive personal values and life skills, and gain valuable stage experience. Members of the company will have opportunities to perform in pre-professional productions staged by experienced trainers and choreographers. Through its productions and outreach efforts, the company will help promote ballet as an art form, contribute to the cultural life of El Paso, and enrich the lives of our fellow citizens.

Many of our company members have had the opportunity to attend several prestigious summer intensives such as Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Rock School, Joffrey Ballet, Boston Ballet, American Ballet Theatre,Walnut Hill, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Virginia School of the Arts, The Jillana School, Hawaii Ballet, and the School of American Ballet in New York City.
